The point is, is... Finland is a very very very very very very nice place in the summer.
On the other hand, Finland sucks sucks sucks sucks in mid October to December 15th or so.
If you're determined to move here (from a likely more sun-enriched climate), it is advisable to come during the crap weather/darkness, then the worst of it will be over by the time you ask yourself for the 40,560th time "why on earth did I come to this dark, wet place?"
By then, if you are still alive, you will be on your way to enjoying bright, sunny weather.
On the other hand, if you come in June, you will be at the very peak of sunlight hours and it will only get darker and comparatively more depressing....
I think in diving they call it "decompression."
