Are you sure that it is "kuullaan poika" and not "kuule, poika!"

"Kuule, poika!" is something like "heed my words, son!" or "listen to

me,son!"

In what context did you see or hear "kuullaan poika"?

Hope you've been good.
Kuullaan poika.

That's exactly what she said.

She meant "Let´s keep in touch, buddy!"

Well, kalmisto gave you the goods already - however that's not exactly an everyday expression, but rather idiomatic (though it does mean "I'll be hearing from you, kid/son/boy"). In fact this was the first time I've ever seen anyone say so :)

However, I can't help noting that it vaguely brings to mind a certain sport enthusiast and his coach...

Nonniin poeka...

"kuullaan" sounds to me like a translation form the Swedish "Vi hörs!"

"Pysytään kuulolla!" would be a better expression than "kuullaan!"

Could be... from Swedish, I mean!

Also, nowadays people tend to say: "palaillaan!" (short from "palaillaan asiaan" - "we'll return to this issue")
