Hi all.
I was asked the following question the other day by a colleague (a Swede). Can the Finnish government and KELA refuse a nordic citizen the right to full KELA support and even unemployment allowance (after some sort of waiting period) if they just show up one day in Finland with a "nordic moving certificate" (I dont know what the correct name for that paper is)?
Say a Swede or Icelander moves to Finland, doesnt have a job but has money to spend anyway. Or maybe the person has a short-term job. Can they be denied KELA/other benefits or is the "nordic moving certificate" a guarantee for getting these?
This is not my situation, so don't worry, but I realised it is an interesting question I had not thought about before.
