November 3rd - another M&Ms night out

Post by suomeksi » Sat Oct 21, 2006 1:20 pm

Hi everybody,

who is up for another M&M's night out?

Date: Friday, Nov. 3rd
Location: Restaurant Himalaya, Ratakatu 1B, Helsinki (see below for some info)
Time: We will meet at the restaurant at 7 pm, but we are planning to move on at around 9:30 and continue the evening in a pub. Since I don't know any pubs in Helsinki, I am open for suggestions (preferably one that serves also non-alcoholic drinks other than coffee). You are free to join us either at the restaurant or later at the pub.

All moms or moms-to-be are welcome, just let me know if you are coming by Thursday next week, so that I can book a table.

Cheers
A. :D

Restaurant Himalaya is a place serving Nepalese and Indian cuisine just about in the center of Helsinki. This restaurant is perhaps a bit more Nepalese than most of its competitors because of the food. The decor is basically non-existent, but the food is excellent. One popular speciality is khas ko masu, which is a portion of lamb in curry. Himalaya also takes note of vegetarians, serving many delicious vegetarian dishes: sag panir is one good example; it contains cheese, spinach, potato and beans to make a magnificent combination. Himalaya also offers a lunch menu from 11am to 3pm.

Hi everybody!

I'm in :) Hope many others are coming too. Has anyone visited O'malleys lately? That could be one alternative for the pub.

Night out!

Hi,

I am definitely in for this one. I have not been out since ... gosh ... do not know when so a pub and a dinner sounds fantastic. I have heard good things said about Himalaya so perhaps this would be an idea.

Without - you are supposed to leave your little one at home and enjoy a few hours by yourself. Your supposed to get out of your daily treadmill and stress, everybody needs that once in a while. So get those breastpumps out or have a few bottles ready and let the daddies have some quality time() with their offspring!

In case anyone's interested, here's the link to Himalaya. The menu looks fab and I'm already planning to order the tandoori and finish off with gulab jamun AND mango milkshake...

Ok, girls, the table is booked, we are all set. I will try to be there early next Friday, but in case somebody else is first: the table is under the name of Niemi. See you all next week. :D

We are going to be 13 people. I am impressed, this is the largest number yet. See you all tonight!
