Saturday or Sunday?

Sorry about that. Very few things happen on Sunday mornings here.

It's a flea market at the International School of Helsinki. There are lots of books/videos/DVDs and other things in English and other languages. There is another sale in the Spring.

Thanks for the reminder post, Karen.
Smallest turnout ever but still some really good steals to be had. Lots and lots of Star Wars items, which always makes me happy. I love gooing to these - I always get the best stuff for pennies.

The spring market is better, that's when people clear out before they move away. IIRC, the autumn sale is a recent event; they never used to have one. Did you make it to the food fair too? Was it any good?

Unfortunately, no, no food fair. I bought a large glass-framed French language alphabet poster and didn't want to lug it everywhere. It was just too cold to go anywhere. :/

Sara (from the Other Side) went... she said there were sushi classes, you get a demo and can eat what you make. But you need to get there early to sign up. A friend of mine has offered me a ticket but I have so much happening tomorrow I don't think I will get there, or to the book fair.

Kim: there were two of them this year there - the flea market and the food fair.
Penelope: My husband would have loved the sushi demonstration. I don't think I'll tell him the food fair was nearby
