Would you like to be involved in creating a multicultural and cross-artistic THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE?
Tartuntavaara! –theatre production is seeking participants for
ART WORKSHOPS in Tampere
Tartuntavaara! is a multicultural theatre project involving Pirkanmaa based artists with various cultural backgrounds. The performance will be constructed in a dialogue of theatre, dance, clownery, visual arts and music. This production will provide its participants with training in workshops and an experience of working in a multicultural group. The premiere of Tartuntavaara! will be on 27th of April 2007.
The performance will be based on stories of intercultural encounters and experiences of immigrants living in Finland. The title Tartuntavaara! (danger of infection – the word ‘tarttua’ also means bond, grasp, seize etc) provokes us to think about the often very prejudiced situation between locals and immigrants. In addition, it is linked to the concepts of touch and contact which will be the central themes of the performance.
