ANY MUMS INTERESTED IN COMING TOGETHER TO START A PLAYGROUP?

matilda and i are interested in starting a playgroup on tuesdays for mums and babies/toddlers.we can see how many are interested before we locate a venue,in the meantime i am willing to host it at my apartment from 12-3pm.we can see when people reply what exactly we could do,i myself am a nursery nurse and would love to do singing,painting,even cooking.i am living in ruoholahti and here there are good playgrounds,childrens library,swimming pool.our options are very good.we can start with coffee and the kids can free play next tuesday 12th feb if people are interested.would love to hear suggestions,ideas from all.

I can offer my teaching skills (taught 4 and 5 year olds for 7 years in the UK) so can help out in anyway.

Nicholas and Simon would love that! We will join in starting in March. Right now Nicholas has school on Tuesdays. Don't mind offering up my place either to meet on a rainy day...we are near Kamppi.

I can't sing (Caitlin, at 10 months, is already better than me!) though I love cooking and think that would be a really fun thing to do with the little ones, we also both love the swimming pool and knocking about in the park, so I'd say we are definitely interested, look forward to it, great stuff.

T and I would be interested as well. I could help with drawing/painting, cooking and playing piano (if there is ever one around). Thanks for starting it!

Wonderful idea ... Isabella and I are interested!

I can bring a guitar and organize some music and singing (though as it has been a while since I have been actively playing it may not be that great first) ... also can help organizing food and things!

I am not sure if we have a doctor's appointment next Tuesday that time so need to check but if we cannot make it then we will come next time.

Hello to everyone after a long backpain,

Sounds great!!!! Liya and I definitely want to join (though I'm helpless in singing,....

) Moreover, she is very excited to have friends nowadays

But it seems dicey to us as I'm planning to join some exercise program for my health doing together with baby. Its on tuesday and thursday and the timing is 1-2pm. And organising with L and travelling, it will be almost 12-3pm. Damn!!!:(

So, Can you organise on wednesday, if possible?? Just expressing my problem. Would be fine in any response.

SOUND GREAT!! WENDY WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO BE THERE AS SHE LOVE SINGING AND PAINTING. I CAN OFFER IN SINGING AND BODY MOVEMENT "(NOT PERFECT IN SINGING) BUT LOVE SINGING AND LISTENING TO MUSIC.

Hi! That sounds exactly what we have been looking for

... yes, my daughter (now 14 months) and I are definately interested in coming together for a new playgroup. She loves to play with other children and it would be nice to e.g. sing & make music together and we would come up with some kind of 'program' (like different kids arts&crafts) etc. Sounds fun, we look forward to meeting you.

it all sounds great and positive!so will all try to start next tuesday 12th feb.we can just meet and chat about what we could do,offer suggestions and come up with a plan.kids can free play,matilda has some toys and books but you can bring your own stuff too.i will have the coffee if people do there own food.pm me for my address and how to get here.

Hi we're back from our hols!

Sarah, thank you so much for organising this playgroup and for opening your home to us. We'd really love to join! We'll bring our nursery rhymes sing-along CD! And I have jars of handpaints (non-toxic) if anyone is interested to do some hands/feet printing!

I'm sure us mothers would be more than happy to take turns to "host" the refreshments part of this gathering so it won't be too taxing on you each week.

I haven't had my little one yet but by June i would love it!
Anything to get them having fun of sorts....or just being around other children.
What ages were you thinking of??
Toddlers and up or babies too??
Regardless if you need any help i would be more than happy to help. I too am a Nursery Nurse.

it's a great idea to make a playgroup! Dávid and I are interested ! We live in Lauttasaari, close to Ruoholahti. Summertime we could try the nice beaches here!
I cant really sing, but can cook well.

just to make sure about the date - the 12th is actually a Monday. For me it is even better than Tuesday but regardless of my personal preferences and just so everyone is 'synchronized', is Monday also the day you were thinking about, sahboo?
