++Tampere Film Festival ++ March 7-11

For people interested in movies there will be an excellent opportunity too see some interesting films at the annual Tampere Film Festival. The festival focus is on short films, but it also includes special screenings with different themes. It's an international festival so the films should include English subtitles.

"Tampere 37th International Short Film Festival takes place on March 7-11. Again the festival celebrates the art of short film within five bright days and late nights. Previous year 120 festival screenings seduced an audience of almost 30 000 spectators. Besides the International and Finnish Short Film competitions the festival will screen a wide variety of films.

This year the special themes focus on Black Africa, Sami Culture of Northern Scandinavia and Masters of Polish Film Schools. Megapolis programme catches glimpses of giant cities. Special screenings are devoted to the 50th Anniversary of The Finnish Film Archive. The festival will also host seminars, exhibitions, concerts and club nights."
