Playgroups in Tampere

Post by JenniH » Mon Mar 05, 2007 11:45 pm

Hello,

I'm searching for playgroups for babies here in Tampere but I cannot really find anything like that. My daughter Lilja is 3 months old and I really would like her to see other babies regularly. I'm originally from Germany where there's so many groups and courses for mothers/parents with children, that it's difficult to decide, but here there seems to be nothing at all (except for babyswimming, we're already planning to attend).

Does anybody here know where/how I can meet english or german speaking mothers (they don't have to be foreigners, but only be able to talk english or german) with children of Lilja's age? I don't really want to start talking to some completely strangers in the streets...:?

Greetings,
Jenni (...and sorry for my not really perfect being english  )

You could post something at neuvola or ask the nurse there if they know of German/English speaking mothers.

I know there used to be a regular weekly meeting for German mums & kids, something to do with Tammela school in Tampere, which is English/Finnish. Will try & hunt up the link for you........ give me a couple of days...
