The Embassy can request the UVI to make your passport available to them..

the embassy asked ME to request it, I wrote to UVI with, of course, no reponse, but Im going to Malmi today for some appointment, that my "caseworker" wanted(with no explanation why) and Im going to ask about it then. Embassy tommorow at 11am. funny thing is I wrote to Embassy and got a rsponse in about 4 minutes...wrote back and again, immediate response, wrote to the UVI office, my caseworker, and the "general" immi police mail...and nothing. I know their busy but come on!

Take some evidence that the Embassy have requested to see your passport..Print out e-mail or what ever..other wise I doubt they will hand over the passport....

so I go to the UVI today and he tells me he hasnt heard anything about my appeal, and hes gonna book me a flight home regardless of getting married and regardless of appeal...I was under the impression that I can stay until my appeal is decided, then even appeal once more to a higher court, but it seems I will be waiting for any decision in America?! In addition, he tells me, now I'll be able to apply for residency by way of Marriage....in America though. I call him next Monday and he will book me a flight that day?!
Im gonna miss this country

Reading between the lines it seems to me that you have got up the nose of the UVI and now they are so pissed off that ..home you must go..
Do You remember way back in the early days of this saga what Daryl posted.
It's impossible to say whether an appeal would be worthwhile without knowing much more about the specific details of the case and about the way in which it was represented to the authority.
Me thinks that the way that you presented your appeal....might have been what got up their noses.

I may seem alittle arrogant and rude on here sometimes, but believe me Iam most humble and timid everytime I have any dealings with the UVI. I presented it quite correctly, and with many reference letters and so on. My caseworker is actually quite nice and feels for us, my case was quite simple...the only problem was the confusion with filling out the application here instead of America
