tuesday's playday

hi all,
i wont be able to host this tuesdays playday as matilda is a wee bit ill.she seems to have stomach virus of sorts...she has been to the doc but she still has bad poos and only kinda interested in food.has anybody had this?she isnt listless but the fontanelle is slightly depressed and she is pooing everything that goes in..i hope we will be better for next week

Hi,

I'm not in the playgroup but it caught my attention ... did your doc check for rotavirus ... my son had that last year and it was really bad. He tried to be normal but didn't want to eat or drink and his poo was very gluey / slimy.
But they just told me at neuvola that it is pretty common at the moment ... my son just had it too.

thanks for the advice.went back to the doc today and he reckons gastroenteritis...so fluids fluids...the playgroup is open to all mums with little bundles!i just wanted to do something that matilda gets to play and socialise with other children...mum gets to meet other mums...

Hi _Mara_, my daughter got rotavirus once when she was a baby and it normally comes with lots of vomiting too. So not just diarrhea... Anyways, those are really nasty!

I've been wanting to join the playgroups that you guys are doing but it seems we always miss it somehow. Hopefully next one!

Maybe I can join then one day ... but we're kind of "far" away from Helsinki ... but we'll see.

Anyway ... I hope your little girl gets better very soon ... Til by the way was only vomiting once or twice whil ehe had the virus ... I guess it can be different from baby to baby.
