Yes, thanks - of course it was sarcasm. Also, although I do have a weakness for a pretty face, I can't say that I'm a balloon type of guy. There are other pieces of female anatomy that attract my interest...Ravvy wrote:COBHC wrote:america lost, please tell me that was sarcasm cos if u think that way you're totally wrongantarctica_moon wrote:Of course America won. Gotta be total sarcasm. A-M strikes me as one of those fellow americans who knows better (though he appears to have a weakness for a pretty face and nice balloons
)

Sorry that happened, and I'm a bit surprised that happened in Helsinki. Most expatriate americans seem to be very conscious of the perception of the "ugly american" and try to repair that image while they're abroad.COBHC wrote:ahhh ok then forgive me for thinking u were serious, ive experienced a few americans with that mentality recently, today an american called a co worker of mine "eurotrash" so sometimes i dont know when its sarcasm especially on the internet
And in any event, the fear of getting the sh** kicked out of them in some dark alley should have made them more humble.
I think you'll find most americans are pretty reasonable. When you have 300,000,000 people you've got all types.
