fly fishing in Lapland

Post by Bonefisher » Tue Jun 05, 2007 5:55 pm

Hello,

I have planned a trip in Finnish lapland next summer and I look for details for a good fly fishing area (wild fishes, fly fishing guide and local accommodation)
Thanks for your help.

Have you tried posting on http://www.ranska.net ?

There is a French guy "boazo" who used to live and study in Lapland and he could probably give you some good advice.

If your in Southern Lapland l can't help however if your in the no¨rth then l suggest you cross into Norwegian Lapland (Finmark). I believe you can get a license to fish all the lakes in lapland for about 500NOK. Alternatively there are a variaty of rivers with salmon, sea-trout, and sea-char in various proporations (and prices). Plus some of these rivers are relatively wild (i.e no roads beside them) and hence are reasonably lightly fished.
