I am on a continuous resident permit (A) based on work. I would like to invite my sister from a non EU country to visit me before end of this year.

What are the documents I need to get here in Finland to support my invitation? I was told, I have to get some papers from the police and maistrati etc.

Kindly help me with your info.

I would suggest that you tell your sister to contact the Finnish Embassy where she is and asks what is needed to visit you on a toursist visa.
It is valid for 3 months. It is probably different rquirements for different nationalities/countries.
She should explain your status is continuous resident permit (A) based on work

Google embassy and visa to Finland...you will find the list of documents required from most of the Finnish embassy sites..
