It might be baby cinema this week, although a couple of the Mums don't go and do go to Stockmanns. Anyway keep watching the posts....and you will see where we end up.
Look forward to meeting you.

Hi Sara,
my daughter and I are going to be at Stockmann's tomorrow. We usually arrive at around noon. I am pregnant with my second child which is due in September. Looking forward to meeting you.
Unless anyone wants to propose a different meeting place, since the weather is supposed to be good tomorrow. Wheely? If so please send me an SMS, since compi is still not up and running (am at my hubbies work place right now).
Cheers to all!

Hi,
I suggested the Korjaamo in Toolo some time ago. It is really a funky bar-cafe but offers food (jacked potatoes, salad and tapas) during the day as well. I have also often seen Finnish mums meet there for lunch.
The reason why I thought it might be a good idea is that there is (at least used to be) a city-playground next to it with grass, a sandpit and toys. This is because they have a kindergarten working in the same complex. It is bit of a different thing from all the places that I have seen in Helsinki and it is definitely worth a visit and would allow a relaxed day in the sun if it is warm. Should the place have changed since last summer there is also the chance of just picking up some lunch from the nearby picnic cafe and heading towards the beach and the playground near there ... or the cafe next to the beach and let the children play on the grass.
All these places are within about 400 m of eachother so one of the is bound to work out.
If you are interested then let me know. I can send address details here on the forum.

And yes,
they do run the garden this summer as well and its introduction goes something like this:
"The Summer Garden is open!
The city picnic-park is open at the Korjaamo, in the heart of Toolo. This year the theme is a urban lakeside view. At the Korjaamo garden you can just read a book, enjoy the sun on a sandy beach or on the grass, enjoy drinks and socialize with friends every day in a cosy lakeside scenery."
Now,
if you wish to try out this one then the address is as follows:
Töölönkatu 51 B
You can get there with any tram from the centre that runs through Mannerheimintie (at least number 4, 3T, 10) or any bus that stops near Kisahalli. It is just about 50 m from Mannerheimintie.

Hello everyone,
I think today might be too cloudy for the Korjaamo anyway so Isabella and I try to get to Stockmann's around 12-1 pm ...
Sahboo ... there is some summer cold around ... we have had it as well.
