Dear all,
From your messages sounds that most of you have been travelling during your pregnancies. Then probably you can share opinions or what your neuvola nurses have told about flying while pregnant.
Is it ok for the baby in the early pregnancy to fly? How many times during whole pregnancy mom can fly not to endanger the baby?
It really bothers me as my work is related to visits to other countries. Thank you already beforehand

I think it will depend on the airline company if you can travel in certain weeks. As my experience, you can travel till week 32-34week. After that, most of airline will not accept you or you need to show doctor certificate to approve that you are safe to travelling.

You can fly while you're pregnant. Towards the end of your preganancy some airlines demand a note from the doctor saying it's okay to fly. After, I think, week 36 they don't let you on the planes anymore. I think it's more to do with the fact that they don't want you giving birth in the air not that it's bad for the baby.

You have to wear some kind of support socks. They help with blood etc

With Finnair you need a doctors letter to say you can fly after 26 weeks. They have a set form on their website your doctors fills in and you must fax it before you fly.
Ive had 3 trips abroad while pregnant, but just within Europe- its fine and safe. Drink plenty of water and as Richard said use the flight socks. Even just for the short flights its safer

Well, these days the flying is the easy bit. Standing in a crowded airport for a delayed flight or in the queue to report your lost luggage is much worse. My parents (80-ish) have stopped flying.... after a few bad experiences with the weather, their luggage etc etc.
Just be prepared for the worst, ALWAYS wear some tight-fitting clothes and exaggerate your walk so that everyone can see you are pregnant and (hopefully) take pity on you
Recent studies conducted at Heathrow showed that passengers have symptoms of acute stress similar to those experienced by people moving home, burying a close relative or going through a divorce....

It seems that flying is not dangerous during pregnancy.
I was told that there is no restriction even in the first weeks.
As said earlier, most airlines have a policy until which week they let you in.
It's important to drink a lot and wear anti-trombosis-socks on long-distance flights.
Although, travelling should be limited to what is essential. Flight assistants are required to stop their work as soon as they know about the pregnancy.
By the way, going be train, car, bus etc. can be more critical for the pregnancy due to the vibrations.
All the best
