By what do you mean "Asian" barber? I think my wife goes to a Chinese woman in town because it's cheap.

Do Asians have special hair needs that I was unaware of?

I don't know if it's still there, but there used to be a barber run by an Asian guy on Etelä-Esplanadi. On the Mannerheimintie side, just after that steak house, there's a little passage. In the end of the passage on the right side is where it was.

hmmm and I keep wondering: How in the world, a Barber knowing this from Asia is able to get a job/work in a Barbershop..
Sri Lankans generally come here as Refugees ( from the Tamil area)!!
and about the Eastern Asian's hair, I am sure that the hairdressers that I went were able to perfectly understand my hair and give the cut I want...all in Finnish!!
