Looking for Telecoms / IT related job.

Post by ghoti » Sun Nov 04, 2007 11:44 pm

Yes, I've read previous posts and yes I can see comments of people about those who look for IT job here. Still, wanna give a try.

~Story~
Been wandering around various places for the last two years. It's been a year since residing in UK. It feels that this era should close now and there is something else I strive for, in this particular case - Scandinavia.
I've been around Finland before and it feels like place I'd like to remain for a while. Therefore looking for some 37.5-40 hrs job somewhere around the land of the lakes :)

~Background~
Unfinished highest education so far;
5 years experience of telecommunication related positions;
Currently employed by BPO working for British Telecom where responsibilities cover mentoring, quality assuring, coaching, technical training for DSL tech.support advisors;
Previously worked for cable-networking company (TeliaSonera daughter company) as engineer of telecoms and Internet help-desk specialist; also worked for international tourist agency as their IT bunny.
Speaking almost 4 languages (non of them scandinavian/finnish though), one of them russian (not native though).

~Desires~
Small company or corporate's little branch; IT/Telecoms/Cust.service related; up to 40 hrs per week; can be city / can be town.

Random, but if someone has some idea, please let me know. Will appreciate it.

wbr,
ghoti.

@mCowboy - cheers for advice. I looked through them before and some offers are tempting. However - so far in my life always arranged / discovered / got to know things / options by contacting local / semi-local people through various online communities (such as HospitalityClub, forums, IRCs) rather than using online job seekers or local job agencies. I just feel like having more personal interaction if you know what I mean. :)

And another thing I forgot to mention before - I'm interested in learning finnish. That's why I'm hoping that Finland will be my next destination in Scandinavia.
