Car talk - what actually happens on a 60k small car service?

Where to buy? Where can I find? How do I? Getting started.

Car talk - what actually happens on a 60k small car service?

Post by Cod » Thu Dec 06, 2007 3:07 pm

I need the service stamp in the log book for 60k for my 2000 Twingo , but at 52k I changed the oil, oil filter and air filter myself.

So when I take the Twingo in, any guesses as to what I might expect the bloke to tinker with under the bonnet :?:

The timing chain was redone at 40k, so I am thinking that it doesn't leave much to fix - except may 'tuning' (is that even done on fuel injection cars?), replace brake fluid (which I could do myself), test the battery etc.

Any ideas ? There's nothing in the Haynes manual or the log book to say what they will check for.

Taa in advance!

Spark plugs.
Check the brake disks/pads.
Adjust the handbrake?
Add new window-washer fluid - they normally want 40 Euros for this, but I could come around and do it for 30, if you like :-)
