Can you buy dubbin in Finland?

Post by Charles Monk » Mon Dec 31, 2007 12:19 am

I've had no luck. I even tried the horsey-stuff section in Stockmann.

Usually I just get some from England, but I wondered whether there's some simple answer. Does anyone know whether it's sold / used here? Does it have a name in Finnish?

I'd say look for a cobbler (suutari) or at one of these places:

You probably won't find dubbin as such, but you might be able to find a
similar product from the companies above.

Dunno, they have a dozen different products from mink oil to beeswax in Stockmanns. I use stuff called nahkiss, its good for leather ranging from boots to coats, which reminds me I should do my jacket...

Can also be used as a moisturiser
Nice, i'll tell the SO
Telling her that her face is a bit leathery might cause a few problems though.

It would be like putting a mixture of sump oil and tar on one's face.

I managed to find some in Tarjoustalo whilst I was out there, but if you are stuck, maybe in return for some ruispalat or salmiakki, I could post some dubbin in your direction
