Hello, I come from Greece and I want to come to Finland for a master's program in Statistics.
I would like to know about the universities there, and the way of living?
is there a possibility to combine studies and a part-time job?
I don't know anything, so any information is welcome.
thanks
Questions about studying in Finland
Hullo,
I'm not sure if any ready-made Master's programmes in Statistics are available in English... your first stop could be this site
http://www.universityadmissions.fi
NB the application period is on now! Many uni's close their international applications at the end of January so it's best to get cracking now.
...you'll find the universities' contact details and web pages (and a database of complete English-language programmes) on the web site given above... it might also be a good idea to contact the department of statistics of your university of choice directly and inquire whether it would be possible to complete a Master's in English. You'll find the departments under the faculty of maths usually (IIRC at some universities statistics is bundled into social sciences however)
Some other links to get you started
http://www.studyinfinland.fi
"Official" issues (check under EU-citizens... about how to register your right to reside here as an EU citizen, if you get accepted into university)
http://www.migri.fi
and
http://www.poliisi.fi
Finland in general
http://virtual.finland.fi/
...good luck with the search... and the possible application
