Re: oh oh CL draw cold ball hot ball oh oh
I reckon "confused" is about the daftest online name imaginable in the circumstances. And very little would surprise me these days. Today Allianssi, tomorrow the world.
What are the odds and how does one calculate them?... I figured 1x7x1x5x1x3 would do it - you only have to get three out of four right to get the fourth automatically, surely... and that makes about 105/1, but they are talking about 200/1. My brain hurts with maths, especially when I'm plastered.
Seems Ladbrokes wouldn't touch the bet, but apparently nobody was... why not? They were happy enough to take my money on a 66/1 shot (when I got on it) in last year's National. Of course, I only bet on it because Silver Birch had a sort of Finnish ring to it.
As a draw it could be worse, I guess, but if it is fishy and set up for the Abramovich lot with a view to a nice payoff in Moskva, then I hope someone blows the whistle. United can probably stuff Roma, unless Roma have learnt a thing or two, but I doubt they really fancy playing Barca much. Pool v Gooners is a tough one to call. A few months ago I'd have been despondent, but I think we can probably do them now, and having the second game at Anfield does no harm. I just hope Fenerbarnsley do the business.

Wowsers. Bizarre stuff. But, I suppose it's easier to 'fix' a forum page than fix a CL draw...perhaps? At the same today, football is rotten to core these days, so why not?
Abramovich is, for various reasons, usually connected with these conspiracies. Does anyone recall the theories on Abramovich's Jewish links meaning he could pay the Israeli team to throw the match against Russia (in the battle with Ingerland for a Euro '08 place)? In the end, it was put on a plate by ENG regardless

Possibly, though quite a few posters DID respond to the original statement before the draw took place. And I kind of LIKE the black helicopter theory of hot and cold balls. It has a certain simplicity about it, and would certainly not be noticed by TV viewers or even people in the hall.Salopian wrote:Wowsers. Bizarre stuff. Rather unlikely to ever come out (big understatement there), unless the original poster can name names about whom he got the information from and a trail can be unravelled...
Re: oh oh CL draw cold ball hot ball oh oh
I was thinking that possibly the whole forum thread was a fix - responses as well as original post. And yup, I liked the hot/cold balls thinking too.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was fixed.
