So if you can't speak Finnish, the number one skill just goes right down the toilet. If you are shy and don't get along well with other people, ("they stare at me"), then skills number three and five are trashed. If you lose these three out of the top five, your chances of getting that job are remote.

Communications skills doesnt automatically mean language skills, i see it more as how you use the language available. How you put your ideas and theories across. Like Karhunkoski says

I don't think Communications skills have any relation with language skills. Communications skills would mean (IMHO):
- ability to explain your mind, so people do understand it
- ability to ask right questions in right time
- ability to listen opponent and understand his point of view
- flexibility, readiness for reasonable compromise

Normally, "language skills" is separately mentioned and it is not part of Communications.
