French, graduated from a Paris Engineer school 5 years ago, i'm now beginning to look for a job in Finland.
For the simple reason i was born in western Finland 29 years ago, and i think this is now the appropriate time to try to live in Finland. (And given each time i come back to France after having spent time in Finland i get depressed

What is going to make it a real challenge is that my girlfriend, who graduated engineer 4 years ago, and will graduate Ph.D in Physics and Materials this summer, will also be looking for a position there.
We're on the trail of many research centers in Finland, and by the way, if it may be helpful for some :
SYKE Finnish Environment Institute http://www.environment.fi/syke
VTT (Technical Research Centre of Finland) http://www.vtt.fi
Academy of Finland http://www.aka.fi/eng
TEKES http://www.tekes.fi/eng
AFFRST http://www.france.fi/affrst
Helsinki University of Technology http://www.tkk.fi/en
University of Oulu http://www.oulu.fi/english
University of Joensuu http://www.joensuu.fi
University of Jyväskylä http://www.jyu.fi/en
Tampere University of Technology http://www.tut.fi
which somehow make us think my girlfriend position may be the easiest to find.
The reason why i'm posting is to get some precious information about industrial firms in Finland which could be interested in a french engineer (though half finnish). Such as Wärtsilä, but if people here have names of other finnish companies in the industrial field, i' be glad to gather it.
I am, for eg, still hesitating between finding a position in a french firm (such as Areva, with the EPR project in Olkiluoto), with the expatriate status, or to directly find a position in a finnish firm....ads & drawbacks?
Languages spoken fluently : french/english.
Notions in finnish, which i'm learning by myself these weeks, german learnt at school.
Kiitos, näkemin !!!
