Post by decoy77 » Fri Jun 27, 2008 4:44 pm

Hi,

Looks like i got admission to the Metropolia (Merge of Stadia and EWTEK) for their Masters programme.

Any details about the university, recognition and the value of the degree ,if awarded, would be great to know.

thanks in advance!

Thanks and regards

I'm also quite interested by the subject, I made another post to discuss about the overall reputation of Evtek's B.Eng and M.Eng degrees.

Is metropolia a Polytechnic or it will be a university? I am quite confused with the words Univerity of applied science and in some places it says polytechnic.

"Metropolia Ammattikorkeakoulu

jobhighscool is literal translation of ammattikorkeakoulu.
University is yliopisto. (over opisto)

If you ain't got no money you're called poor, and I can call you financially challenged, but you still ain't got no money.

In that case is it wise to wait for the next year HUT admission for the masters or get in to the Metropolia masters degree this year? :?:
Thanks in advance.

So u mean to say that if some one asks about polytechnic then he is poor.
u guys got good logic and good way of making statements.

Just if you're not too stupid - I mean intellectually challenged - to get in.

No, i mean someone can call !"#¤% as caviar or log as forest or vice versa (sp?).
Its polytechnic and because they want to be university some courses maybe have misleading names.
I dont know which is better, university is more about theory and opens more doors, poly is more for real job.
Polytechnic is quite new in here but atleast in my (vocational) level experience means more than studies.
So it depends what you want.

thanks for the information.
I think i am not intelluctually challenged as of now. (its debatable yes i do agree, some one can ask how u will measure that.. Sorry i am not sure)
so i think it would be a good idea then to wait for University admission which starts later this year end i guess.

thanks and regards

Just so long you're not confused - I mean metaphysically disoriented.
