How many hours per day Polytechnic students spend at school?

I don't know very much about studying in finnish Polytechnics. One of my friends is interested with studying in one of them. She asked me a question which i couldn't answer and which is: ''How many hours per day and how many days per week you usually spend at school? Is that possible to connect studies with evening or morning job?''
Im sorry for starting a new topic but i didn't find suitable one, where i could attach that question As fast as i get an answer, you can remove that post. I hope that im not asking too silly!

Well, theres "day students" and then theres "evening students" - usually grownups who are studying to better some old college degree. So the days can be anything from 8:00 to 21:00... your schedule depends on your pallette of courses, and if you've got and how much of required attendance etc. Some degrees you got more rigorous school-like studying, while some other are more free form. So it depends on a lot of things really.

i've had a variety in the amount of hours i've had to spend at school. the least i've had was 2hrs and the most was 11hrs (9am-8pm). i guess it just depends on the amount of courses you take. on average though, i'd say 6-8hrs.

I have been curious about this too. How many classes does a student have to take per semester? Do some classes run only half of a semester? and Can you take classes during the summer?

They don't run in semesters, they run in periods which is... ummm... 8 weeks? So anyways every period change your schedule changes, and basically you need to choose what you're taking. Bu you have your mandatory classes and classes you need to take before other classes and such...
