Rugby in Finland is still young but it's growing fast. At the moment there are a little less than 400 players but with such a small group of people you get know to each other quickly and the social aspect is greatly enhanced because of it. The Finnish national team is also represented by nearly all of the clubs and competes regularly against countries all over Europe - so you'll have an excellent chance at representing your country in foreign lands.
As a sport rugby is one of the best. If you're in Lahti, go down to a training session and take a look.
You can also learn more about the game in Finland or have a glimpse at the social aspects by going to the Federation's webpage,
www.rugby.fi, or the unofficial rugby forum,
www.rugbyfinland.com.
The roundest knight at King Arthur's round table was Sir Cumference. He acquired his size from too much pi.

Lahti ugby is growing, although we have close to 20 players now some are moving off to the Capital to study work etc so we are always looking for more players. In our first year in a league we played in the Finnish Cup last year and won it!
Our players are generaly young, strong and very mobile and now that rugby is an olympic sport I am 100% sure you will see more of these lads and ladies getting better and better...
David you are welcome to come over and see us anytime - we have entered winter training which is once a week.
