hi all.
i will try to explain myself clearly.
I graduated in environmental sciences and biology 4 years ago in Belgium. Back then the studies lasted 4 years and was called licence. 2 years ago, after the Bologne reform, those studies went to 5 years and its now called a Masters.
My question is is it possible, in Finland, to do like one year of study (called Masters by Degree or Masters by Science 2 years ago in Belgium) in order to do 5 years of study (4+1 in my case) and obtain a Masters in environment.
The thing is in my city (Kokkola) the university offer some courses in chemical environment which would be great if i could study this in Finland because it will possibly allow me to work in one of chemical firms in kokkola, as they hire a lot of foreigners people (no discrimination or language stuff). But they almost only hire people who obtained their masters in kokkola cos the practice and thesis etc are done within those firms.
hope i was clear

Re: questions about bologne system
well in Kokkola you mean this? http://www.cou.fi/eng/ UAS that offers bachelors degrees in chemical engineering. they do offer a higher degree in technology management. so basically what you should do is go to the school and ask - but the management thing is in Finnish only... so you are in a bit of a limbo there...
