Post by MagicJ » Wed Oct 15, 2008 6:06 pm

As a non Canal+/Viasat subscriber i've been really grateful for the new Viisi channel.

Another free offering of footie.

Hopefully they can follow the success of the U21's last night.

Hyvä Suomi.

Looks like those midfield substitutions aren't working out. Nothing going on on offense either. No play making and a lot of bad first touches.

Too many overlength balls IMO.

I'm convinced Putin is sat there with his "Cruel Lever Control Box".

As soon as things start to look a bit tasty, he quickly flicks the lever from "International Match" to "Sunday League".

Too many silly defensive mistakes.

Missed the whole thing. Disappointing. Dangerous they are, but Russia ain't all that. It's a blow, but only one away game. Would've needed Wales to have taken points off the Russians last month...perhaps there's a shock in store for Germany later :)

At the end of the day two own goals from pretty much flukes. Arshavin scored a beauty in the end.

Cant complain, Russia didnt impress too much where as Finland proved again how they have matured under Baxter.

Shame it was 3

Wow! There are football fans in Finland :)

But frankly, Russian team isn't among top European teams, just above average, whereas Finnish somewhere in the bottom.

Personally I thought Finland played really well. Generally composed, less long balls than the Germany match, got into the final third of the field quite consistently.

The own goals though... oh dear. I think that one is a mistake and two is inexperience.

Arshavin's goal was a cracker, but only really came about because Suomi had thrown so many forward. Generally they defended well.

Anyone know the possession %s?
