If they're a friend aren't they welcome at your place?

Ok I think that is the one, but is it only for the homeless? I just remember back in england they had a place that people went to meet others on Christmas day who are alone .

I am also on my own at christmas, well the 24th anyway if that counts as christmas.

To be honest, I am quite looking forward to a bit of piece and quiet.

But I will be spending it together with my old friend Jack.

Jack Daniels that is. He is always a friendly type of guy.

Good luck Richard, xmas for some can be the loneliest time of the year. We're away at the cottage.

Would your friend be willing to help out at some of the Christmas dinners
thrown around town for the homeless?

The Hursti family has for years thrown a "bash" for the homeless, lonely, etc.
This year it will be at:

December 24th, 2008 at noon at Töölön Kisahalli
Christmas program and meal

(http://hurstinapu.net/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=36)

The bigger prob may be that Christmas Eve is when Finns celebrate, so
Christmas Day doesn't really have anything going on.

Also he could probably just contact his local parish or church and ask
if they have anything similar.
