coolant or any liquid about car maintenance

Hi all,

I have some concerns about car maintenance in winter time. I have no idea what kind of coolant or liquid should be added for radiator, wiper or any else. I found there are mainly two types of products for sale. One is blue color and the other is pink. Could you guys please advise me about this? Thanks for help in advance.

Read the specs and make sure that you are not adding it diluted..
Every coolent has a rating ( regardless of pink or green) upto a certain degree of temp that it can withstand ( heat and cold)

The stuff you put in the screen washer bottle will be called something like 'lasinpesu or tuulilasin pesuneste' colour does not matter ! it will have a temp on the bottle like -20 which is the freezing point of the liquid and some guide on what this changes to when you add water. You can added this undiluted to the washer bottle - it wont do any harm.

As for the radiator expansion bottle this should not need filling up If the car has been serviced and has been in Finland for a winter. You should check the level when the car is warm- If the level is low you maybe ok adding small amount of water <1 litre if it requires more you will need to add antifreze - pakkasneste ?
If it needs a lot I would get the cars checked as you may have a leak !

thank you guys for help, I did buy two bottles of that. One is the one you mentioned, "LASINPESUNESTE", for screen washer. The other one is called "JÄÄHDYTYSNESTE". Could you guys please tell me what is that? Is it also for radiator like pakkasneste as meplusthree said? Thanks again!!

yeah, thats your coolant liquid... generally you don't need to put in more than is between the min/max levels...

oh yeah, then you should also buy POLTTOAINEEN JÄÄNESTO as the weather is what it is now, you get condence water in your fuel, and when it freezes, then you're screwed until it thaws.

and of course lubricant - gun oil- for the locks and silicone for the door rubbers
