Daycare in Vaasa

Post by MamaMelvin » Tue Feb 10, 2009 11:18 am

Hello!
I am a student from Germany and I want to spend my semester abroad in Vaasa. That would be next autumn.
I have a little daughter, she is now one and a half years old, and I want to take her with me, as it would break my heart to leave her in germany. As I have to pass some time studying at the University, I need some kind of daycare or kindergarten for her. Does anyone of you have some contact information? And I would also like to know about the prices, as my financial limits as a student are not that high...
I need a place for her from mid-August to mid-December, as this is the period we will stay in Vaasa. It would be best, if the daycare was not too far away from The Vaasan Yliopisto, as this is where I will study.
What I also would like to know is, how many layers of clothes a child in the finnish winter needs? I just remember, that when we had about 15 degree below zero around christmas, I put her into at least five layers with two wool-shirts and a double pair of socks...
So if anyone can tell me anything, it would be a great help!
