Re: Bhajias
Coo.. thanks Raamv!! I did think it was quite similar to the parslied potatoes recipe you suggested but perhaps with fresh coriander as well, but when I googled I also kept coming up with a pakora recipe, similar to the potato bonda recipe on the last link you sent. All the different names and terms of course keep confusing me
For pakoras or the bonda, is there a good substitute for gram flour? I think I have some chickpeas in the cupboard... grind them?

Re: Bhajias
For gram flour.. difficult to do..
Its actually "Besan" that you want and you can get this from Hakaniemi..
or Roast Chickpeas and then grind them..
Dry chickpeas still gives you the raw smell..so a little roasting ll change it.

Re: Bhajias
and remember Pakor n bonda are pretty much relying on deep-fry..
So if you roast most of the ingredients, the least it is required to deep fry..

Re: Bhajias
I generally go to "Mughal" for my vegetables on a Friday as thats when they get their fresh vegetable shipments.
Viiv vooan tends to freeze a lot of veggeis and when you being it back, they rot in your fridge...and they have recently jacked up the prices that they are the most expensive..
Never been to Aseanic Trading ...
Will not enter Taj Mahal or Maharajah's!!
Indian Market is a last choice if I cant find it in Mughal(1) or viiv Voan (2)
Mughal also have Pani Puris and Saag paneer which are ready made.
I generally buy Ghee from Mughal/Indian market.
But watch out for the Expiry date of all products.
