kela compensation?

Post by r32 » Thu Mar 12, 2009 1:42 pm

If somebody goes to the private health clinics and get a eye exam, for example, what is the kela compensation percentage or how is it calculated?
Is there any link where I could check these things...

Thanks! :)

Do you always get the compensation if you apply for it or sometimes you get the "discount" straight away when you pay the doctor?

AFAIK, as I have been healthy enough, some doctors have deal with kela, so they do the begging part and give the discount straight away. And If you get "kela discount" it should read so in receipt.

Thanks for the info. How long it takes for Kela to give the compensation to the bank account?

I don't recall exactly but I seem to remember something like 2 weeks. Depends on the office I suppose.
Now I remember that my girlfriend went to Hemo around 1 years ago, and the doctor applied the compensation straight when she paid. But as you said, it depends on the clinic.
