Haaga-Helia Exam for International Business Program

Post by arlan » Sun Apr 05, 2009 5:02 pm

I am preparing for the Haaga-Helia Exam of International Business Program.
I have the reading material, mostly articles from The Economist, and the verbal topic of
the Asian (Korean) work/performance evaluation model of group teams vs
the Western (American) emphasis on individual talents
to be discussed with fellow applicants and faculty.

Has anyone taken this Program's entrance exam last year?
I am curious what I am up against and how to get prepared and psyched up for this six hour ordeal.

This is very different approach to University entrance criteria than what we have here in US.

Can you offer more insight. I have just a few weeks to go!

Thank you

Of course I studied all of them? How the hell you imagine to prepare without studying pre-reading materials?

Well, I am also having another exam tomorrow, for Multilingual Management Assistants :D Little bit nervous.

Guys, I can totally imagine how you feel.
I will try admissions next year but I'm starting to panic a little bit!

It's crazy that they don't give any samples of past exams... In Italy it's just so normal to try to do old entrance examinations... just to practise... :lightbulb:

I guess apart from reading carefully the pre-materials and revise very basic maths things... there's not much more you can do....
Just have confidence in yourself.

Every year many foreign students are admitted, so why shouldn't you get a place there?

Chin up and do your best!

Obviously.... let me know your impressions about the exams...! I'm be grateful!

Ciao ciao! 8)

There used to be at least Finnish exams available. And there are courses (that cost...) which will have all the previous materials...
Chin up and do your best!

umm, HH exam seems more difficult and different from other exams. I only had 2 economist articles, cleantech, and sustainability to read for Turku. I'm starting to freak out... now!! I'm not sure whether I should bring a winter coat??? :? does it feel like spring yet? I live in Florida.

A Florida "winter coat" is what we wear as a light summer jacket. Its freezing-your-ass-off cold. I'm still wearing my lined carhartt jeans.

I was not 100% sure that everyone who applied international business in Finland studied this specific pre-reading materials. So i asked like in general. All in all i cannot (the hell?) imagine prepering without reading materials provided :PP ;D
