SAP contracting in Finland

Post by Casall » Wed May 13, 2009 8:23 pm

Calling all SAP contractors in Finland… I’m considering taking a contract there.

What is the SAP market like there at the moment? What do the latest predictions say, i.e. summer will be quiet, but it will pick up in autumn etc.?

Can you give also some indication of the current market rates (functional SAP consultant with over 10 years SAP experience on multiple projects, strong language skills etc.) and what would be the most tax efficient way of contracting there.

Many thanks in advance!

PS: Please don’t tell me it’s not worth coming over, as I’m missing the warm and light summers...! :D

Historically accenture always seemed to be desperate for SAP bods.

A couple of quick job searches throws up:

That might look poor but in the current climate its actually not too bad  Things will probably pick up in autumn.

Someone else will be able to help with market rates.

Thanks for your reply.

Any experience on what is for a UK-resident the most tax-efficient way of contracting there? Via a UK limited company or an umbrella company or can you use a Finnish ‘toiminimi’?

In general the SAP market still seems to be slightly better over in the Nordics compared to UK and Germany, for instance.

Fingers crossed things will pick up in August...! :) :sun:
