Hi everyone,
I had an interesting time last year with trying to renew my student residence permit. I didn't get it renewed because I was away from university for 1 year, and the immigration police also said I didn't have enough credits. Immigration police said in order to get a student residence permit I must always be studying (so I can't be away from studies at any time), but what I couldn't understand was their ' course credits' requirement. An immigration police officer told me (unless I heard her wrong) that minimum course credits achieved within a year should be 30. I've used 3.5 years of maximum 4.5 years of my degree course, and I now have 133 course credits (which is more than minimum 30 credits/year). A friend has told me it should be minimum 30 credits/semester. However minimum 30 credits/semester doesn't sound right, as that sounds more like the maximum one could achieve during a semester. So whose correct here, and what are the requirements needed to renew your permit?
Looking forward to your quick response. Thanks folks!

30 credits/year
1 year no study = 0 credits
0 < 30
1 year no study = 0 credits
0 < 30
