Temporary layoff, what should I do ?

My company is planning to do temporary layoff up to 3 months.

I'm also one of the employee will come under that.

So what should do ? Should I go to Kela or Employment office ?

Any idea how much money I will get from Kela ? My salary before tax is around 2500.

I'm a member of YTK, but membership is only 6 months old, so no help from them

When you get layoff paper you go to työvoimatoimisto with it and register yourself in there, after that you go to KELA and register yourself there and apply for money. Take your rental agreement etc also and apply for housing support too.

They pay about 410e/4 weeks + housing support so not much :/

But as the OP has not been member long enough, (s)he is only eligible for the basic allowance (amount is stated at the top of the page).

As it was said in first reply, go first to employment office and then to Kela.
