Curious to know how much should I pack.
For example a liter of Finlandia Vodka (grapefruit flavor) cost 18$ (approx 12.65 Euro)
at the shop down the street.
What would that cost in ALKO shop?
I think I should pack more but its 2kilos more in the suitcase
Cheers

Flavored vodka you pay double for anyways as its not for drinking but a fashion item in the house.

Alcohol costs about 10€ per hour of hangover for beer (5€ per hour at Vltava for their home brew stuff), 12€ per hour for spirits and 20€ per hour for wine.
some further prices at
http://www.alko.fi
With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

You won't find vodka/whisky/cognac etc prices in there, though - any product with +22% of alcohol is not found on the Alko net pages. The alcohol law... no advertising you see... they're only published in their printed catalogue.
I can't remember how much the OP's Finlandia costs, I rarely if ever buy strong drinks. To complete my failure as a Finn, I confess that I have no idea how much a bottle of Kossu costs

You don't list your location, but a quick search of your past posts suggest you are resident in the US.
Travelling to Finland, you are allowed to import
1 litre of spirits above 22%. See the second column of this article from Finnish Customs.
http://www.tulli.fi/en/finnish_customs/ ... engers.pdf
Duty-free and tax-free imports from a non-EU country
A passenger is allowed to import the below maximum quantities in their personal luggage duty-free and taxfree, provided that the import is not commercial.
Alcohol and alcoholic beverages
4 litres of still wine (red, white and rosé) AND 16 litres of beer
In addition:
1 litre of strong alcoholic beverages (over 22 per cent) OR 2 litres of alcoholic beverages (max 22 per cent), for example aperitifs (such as vermouth, bitter, liqueur, sherry, long drinks, cider and sparkling wine).
Cider and long drinks are not comparable with beer.
A passenger can import alcoholic beverages of several types at one time, as long as their total quantity doesn’t exceed the allowed limit. For example, a passenger can import 0.5 litres of strong alcoholic beverages and 1 litre of aperitifs. This regulation does not, however, apply to still wine or beer.

Um, I always thought there were two Kossus:
- one at around 38-39% proof
- one at 32% (which is easier to drink straight, or so I've heard)
What EU regulations were you talking about?

I think it comes in a 60% variety too, but maybe only export (?)
Anyway, to the OP: the local price for that grapefruit FV ould seem be approx 30€ / per litre.
That "isokaato" looks (and is named) like a site for aspiring alkies, tbh.

Well there is, but I think it's called "Koskenkorva Vodka". As for the Viina variety, there are two type. (To the best of my knowledge)

What EU regulations were you talking about?
The regulation stating that over 37,5% unflavoured alcohol is vodka.
"Perinteisen Koskenkorva Viinan myynti loppuu. Syynä on ensi vuoden toukokuussa voimaantuleva EU-direktiivi, jonka mukaan yli 37,5 prosenttia alkoholia sisältävä maustamaton viina on vodkaa. Koskenkorvan alkoholipitoisuus on 38 prosenttia. Asiasta uutisoi UP-Uutispalvelu."

Kossu was 38% and then there is Kossu Vodka that was(is?) available at 40% and 60% strong.

Ah yes, those that have caused Kossu to have "Vodka" written on the label...
So there are two "Koskenkorva Viina", 32% and 38%, Two "Koskenkorva Vodka", 40% and 60%.

The ALKO site does not show price of 1 - liter Finlandia Vodka Grapefruit.
I am curious as how it is priced locally...
Do you have a catalogue there at home to tell me if its more than 12 euros
Seems silly to bring Finlandia to Finland

Is it the "fusion" stuff?

http://www.isokaato.com/viina.php?id=1057 and that is 0,7 liters...
As mentioned before: anything over 22% by vol isn't legal to advertise to the general public.
