Muslim ok restaurants

Post by Mikie » Mon Aug 03, 2009 2:50 pm

Hello, I have a few students in my class this week that are Muslim and are trying to find any Muslim ok restaurants. i.e. where the animals were killed according to their laws.

Anybody know of any? They've tried a few Indian restaurants, but with limited success.

Thanks.

Mike

Lets hope there arent any since thats animal cruelty and illegal in here! Tell them to move where cruelty isnt illegal. Do you even know how muslim slaughter is done?
And also tell them there is only one law in finland and thats called finnish law.

You mean Halal restaurants?

There's a list here however I think you'd probably need to agree beforehand - see e.g. this discussion (a couple of suggestions there as well)

Habibi, apparently. Even there it's best to ask.

You can perhaps also get some assistance from here: http://www.masjidiman.com/ (The Islamic multicultural dawah center, Helsinki)

They have halal butcher shops in Finland so I doubt it's illegal here.
I have bought from the one in Leppävaara before. Pretty good quality stuff. I am not muslim but still, I am amazed by some people's ignorance.

Ignorance? I have seen muslim butchering and its from cruel to stupid.
If you do it "right" then its cruel, saying name of god to stun animal and slit throat...
If done "wrong" its someone saying prayers in front of line so its just stupid...
Like pork, well that was probably good command 2000 years ago maybe people didnt cook meat well enough. But today its totally different so they need to upgrade their stupid rules to todays world.
