How to recycle desktop computer in Finland

Post by brkumar » Sat Aug 15, 2009 4:37 pm

Having bought a new desktop, my old desktop is sitting idle. My old computer (self assembled) has been cannibalized for hard disk and DVD drive. I now have a fully working Athlon64 based partially disassembled desktop sitting idle (specs: Asus A8V Deluxe Motherboard, athlon64 3400+ CPU, 3 GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce 7 graphics card, wireless PCI in an Asus case).
I would ideally like to donate it, so others can make better use of it. Do you know any place in capital area, where I may donate the desktop ?

Just put an ad on the billboards of various universities and stuff. Winter term is about to begin, there must be some new students in town.

Donating is a great idea. In my country, the government is responsible for the distribution of all things donated, among all public schools and colleges, we just have to take things to the local government.
