look for small sauna heater

Post by sepi_seb » Sat Aug 15, 2009 6:57 pm

Hello,

I have a project to build up a small sauna and would like to purchase a cheap(maybe second hand) sauna heater.
Could you please refer me to places i could look in Helsinki area? I will then ship the heater to France to my family.

thanks

sebastien

If you are interested in a new one, you could see what models are available in any K-Rauta or Bauhaus shop
(google a bit or use yellow pages to find the closest one to your place).
For a used one I don't know, maybe begin looking at announces in huuto.net ?

you also need to have someone check the wiring; sauna stoves usually require 3-phase like kitchen stoves. I think theres smaller stoves but you need to be careful on that.

You also need to know how big your sauna is to be able to select right one. Too small and it wont heat enough, too large and it fries you.
http://www.harvia.fi/content/en/11501/7/7.html helps you to select.
And of course you need good stones to it too, i dont know if you can get those in france.

You should check what the prices are for Tylö in France - my sister got her sauna done by the local contractor.
