Where to buy a brake bleeding kit ( a classy one)

Back to fixing cars again.

I have a one way bleeding valve that I picked up at Halfords in UK years ago which works ok but I wouldn't mind a pressurized bleeding kit to really speed things up and use a little less brake fluid (last change took 2 bottles).

If anyone has picked up a pressured kit, or failing that a vacuum kit in Finland, let me know.

I picked up a great vacuum pump brake bleeding machine in Motonet for about €60.

I've used it a few times and it works great, just pulls all the fluid through the lines. I use a dab of grease on the nipple threads to stop any small air leaks though..

any reason you went for a vacuum system over a pressure system?

I used to have one of the eezibleed bottles pictured above, according to the instructions you can power it from your spare tyre, b0ll0cks, first time i used it i ended up with 5 flat tyres and still had air in my brakes. Then i bought a small compressor that runs off the cigarette lighter, after pumping up my tyres i connected it to the brake bleeding kit, worked very well, cheap and recommended.

(the above modification is at your own risk, at 80psi the bottle and tubing bulges alarmingly but i never did manage to make it explode)

..now that's totally bizarre. I ordered the kit, will let you know if I have the same problem. I'm a bit nervous about putting a compressor straight onto the reservoir, in case it blows the lid off a sprays fluid everywhere.

..just to wrap up this one..the Eezibleed kit worked fine in my case. It's really slow, nothing like pumping the brake pedal where the fluid squirts out...with Eezibleed, it dribbles.

But it worked, I'm happy, brakes work very well and I've saved a bit of dosh. It was alot easier than I had imagined, but I did need to removed each wheel to get to the bleed nipple.

The next challenge in life is how to replace a timing chain, but that'll be in another 60k km.
