I've recently moved to Jyväskylä and in our flat we have the cable for setting up broad-band internet.
The modem is a Thomson Model TCW710 (no wireless) and the cd-rom that came with it doesn't accept Windows Vista for download.
Does anybody have some recommendations??? I've been able to get online through a wireless connection nearby on and off throughout the day.
Thanks.

you should be able to get it working without a CDROM I think. Most modems these days have a web interface for configuration. Check the manual for something like: http://192.168.1.1

Hi! You don't need the CD. Elisa's instructions for Vista install can be found at http://www.elisa.fi/asiakastuki/index.cfm?o=1990.03
The instructions are in Finnish. In case you need a translation, you can try looking at them via http://translate.google.com
- Copy the address of each Elisa page to the text field and set translation Finnish->English.
The images don't translate, but they'll help you anyway to figure out right setting to your PC.
Good luck!
