Leather jacket repair - info needed

Post by johnvirgin » Thu Sep 17, 2009 8:52 pm

Hi,

I've got an old leather jacket which is in dire need of lining replacement. I've asked a few places here in Helsinki and they seem to work only with wool, cotton etc.. (basically they don't do leather). And I guess taking it to a 'suutari' won't help.

Anyone knows of any tailors that do leather garments repairs in the capital region? Any place I can get to, with my regional travelcard.

Thanks.

Try putting words "leather" and "jacket" to the search box that is located at upper right corner of the page...

That actually reminds me Pursuivant... did you ever go to that place and have your jacket done? I've been happy with the work the lady did for my suit.

Actually I visited her this morning thanks to this post. I'd been procastrinating for too long. Lets say it won't be exactly cheap, but what in Finland is. Cheaper to buy new ones online, but I kind of like mine...

OK well not so bad, only 4 months ;)
Yeah it's not cheap but like you said, nothing is in Finland. At least she did a good job.
