yki certificate validity

Hi,

Does anyone know how long the YKI (keski taso,yleistaso) certificates are valid? Is it 2 yrs, 3 yrs or valid for ever?!!

I think its valid from the date its issued until the person dies?

They are valid forever but they try to make you spend money by claiming that employers like to see them renewed every three years or so. If you only use it for getting the Finnish nationality you only have to do it once.

8. Does the language skills certificate have an expiry date?

As a general rule, no. However, at the date of the decision you will be required to have at least satisfactory oral and written language skills. If you have resided abroad for several years after receiving the certificate and it is evident that your language skills are no longer at the level indicated on the certificate, you may be requested to submit a new language skills certificate.
