Hey, anyone out there know if its poss, to do this without going to the plod.nothing sinister. I was parking up as the car in front moved out of the place,,, i noticed something on the ground beside the driver door, and not being sure it was something ,or not,i made a mental note of the number, Turned out to be an apple i-pod loaded with someones music,, rather fine music , thing is if i bring to plod it,ll get chucked in a drawer somewhere for all time prob.. so if i can trace owner i,d be glad in the interest of karma to return,,,, otherwise .......

yeah, you can actually call 020202 and get the info. or you text AUTO XYZ-123 to 16400, XYZ-123 being the plate number.
