Indian spice mix Chat Masala?
Just wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible to buy Chat Masala in Finland or should I bring a supply with me when we move there?

Nah..you dont need to bring the chat masala..Just learn to do it ..so you dont miss the taste of the masala's that you get
here ... Almost all of them are "imported" from the UK!!

I've seen different masalas here, usually garam masala (= hot mixture), never seen Chat... but I'm sure you'll find it in Helsinki in Hakaniemi.Cloudberry wrote:Just wondering if anyone knows if it would be possible to buy Chat Masala in Finland or should I bring a supply with me when we move there?
If you have room in your suitcase, it will save you a couple of € to bring some with you. I was in India in Dec '07 and bought 5 boxes which cost 25-30 Rupees each (under €0.50) would cost you €2 or €3 here.

I found a fabulous Indian spice store today and the prices were about quarter of what I normally pay. Perhaps it's worth bringing a large box with us. It will last a few years (use by date on the box I got today was 2013) and save us hunting around for it there. I'll go back there just before we leave and grab a fresh box
