Turku Airport
Turku Airport
Hi, is Turku airport open over night? My flight lands late there and I cant really get anywhere useful.
Do you think I would stay there from 00:00 till 07:00/08:00?

Its "pissoff" between 02 - 05... so its hotel search or couchsurfing at Bubba's place then.

Re: Turku Airport
Some airports are like Turku terminal 2 - it opens if theres a flight... where you think you are coming to white man? Try Outer Hebrides for a party zone.

Re: Turku Airport
when are you coming & where are you heading?

Re: Turku Airport
It is a very small airport with some 15 scheduled flights a day. That means that there practically is nobody around if there is no plane about to leave or arriving. There is a bus stop outside from terminal one (lower floor), the last bus leaves somewhere after midnight (except for Saturdays). In any case, the last bus to the centre leaves after the last plane has landed, except if the plane is horribly late. Otherwise take a cab. If there is no cab around, you can call one using the phone inside the "tuulikaappi" (someone please translate that into English!) in the lower floor of terminal 1.
You can't stay there overnight.
Third option: It's only about a 10km walk to the city centre

Re: Turku Airport
re cheap hotels, one that comes to mind is "omenahotelli" -- operating diy-style (like formula 1 in uk/france, if you happen to know that). Not that I've ever been to omenahotelli but i hear it's quite nice, and in the very city centre of turku. There's no breakfast included, mind you!

oh, and this is the only (? as far as i know, at least) youth hostel in turku, a little bit further from the centre but still relatively central:

perhaps also look at this list of b&b's, guesthouses etc:
