I forgot one from iceland, they do what everyone else does, go in igloo to drink reindeer blood from bear head?
Get drunk (or not) and go out. Your age probably just gather somewhere depending on area. In Kemijärvi they atleast had youth disco (no alcohol allowed) in one of citys "workman house" near centre. We did gather in "workmans house" cellar in our area (we didnt have a key in house) and left from that to disco. Go to look what people do and go with flow.

You wrote : "Hi, Just wondering if any of you are Up north in Lapland??" and I understood that to mean that you would like to meet some new people. Lapland is a big geographical area. You also ( in another discussion ) asked about nightlife in Finland. If we know where you are located it is much easier for us to help you and give you suggestions. There is a huge difference between Helsinki and Kemijärvi when it comes to nightlife.

I thought that there was a lot of that at ski resorts in Lapland ( especially Ruka ) :

http://www.skiworld.ltd.uk/ski/holiday/ ... -Ruka/1098

"The Après ski in Pyha and Ruka

The Apres ski scene at these two neighbouring resorts is very different. Ruka is more lively with a good selection of bars and restaurants with a few staying open to the early hours. Pyha is more relaxed, with a calm and welcoming atmosphere and just 2 main bars. Pyha also offers a spa and fitness facility to help unwind in the evenings too. Both resorts however have an excellent variety of winter activities which include ice karting, snowmobile tours and reindeer safaris."

Hei,

Both Pyhätunturi and Ruka include skiing, but Ruka is a major part of Nordic skiing events, while Pyhätunturi is more family oriented. So, for an exciting night life, perhaps Ruka could be the more appropriate of the two, especially within the skiing season.

Skiing is popular, and it brings many people from southern Finland into northern Finland, and from elsewhere. However, skiing is their priority, and perhaps one could not otherwise associate northern Finland with an exciting night life, Helsinki yes, but Korvatunturi no.

BTW, I wish you the best of luck with your plans, but it could be worth considering just what brings people to northern Finland, the who, the what, the where, the when and the why, etc., and to plan around that. Such consideration could be the basis of a good business plan.

I am in lapland(Rovaniemi) and as far as nightlife and skying places goes, well if it is a family oriented place then a more quite relaxed atmosphere is more likely to attract than some wild rave or strip club type place.

No idea what the Finns go for really, but i would choose the more relaxed place myself.

Probably because i spent so much time working as a bouncer/Security at the wilder ones back in Iceland a few years back haha
